There are many rental car
agencies here in Margarita.
When you arrive at the airport in Margarita Island there is a separate rental
car building in front of the International terminal with many of the major &
local car rental agencies represented.
You will also find them located in the major hotels & at Playa El Agua beach.
Driving in Isla Margarita is a matter of being defensive. Never assume that someone will stop for a stop sign or respect a red light. They will also stop without warning so always be prepared for the unexpected. Driving at night away from the main cities also presents it's own problems. Scooters, motorcycles, bicycles & pedestrians can be found in the street. Many have no lights as many of the cars have no brake lights & drive with their high beams on.
Pedestrians also have a bad habit of stepping off the curb without looking.
Just remember - slow & cautious is best.
